Every Saturday: Weekly Saturday Farmers Market
Location: Regional Market at Transportation Center (google map it. its off i-81, there are buses that go there so check out the centro or find a car! http://cnyrma.com/ has directions)
Time: 7am-2pm, every Saturday!
Description: Local and some organic produce from around New York State. This is one of the largest farmers markets that, personally, I’ve ever been to. Relatively cheap produce and it supports the local economy! It is every Saturday…YEAR ROUND, so if you can’t make it this week, come the next week or the week after that!
Cost: However much you want to spend on great, local produce.
This Saturday, the 31st, a conference of CNY cooperatives is being held
Location: South Side Innovation Center, 2610 South Salina St., Syracuse, NY

3/31/12 Vegetarian&vegan potluck hosted by greenbeans –
Location: 737 Maryland Ave. Apt #3 (You go to the door on the right side of the house and take the stairs all the way up to the top!)
Description: (lodging is provided!): This is going to be a yummy in your tummy food vegan/vegetarian potluck! Claire and Ashley are donating our kitchen for the night so bring all your awesome food stuff to cook up a yummy meal! Feel free to bring friends, cats, and vegetables. I hope to see many of you there!
Cost: Free! Bring food to share😀

Time: probably around 8 or 9pm
Location: 737 Maryland (right side door/ basement)
Bring: – at least $3 for admission
– Potluck dish to share
– Plates/ utensils if you can
– Dancing feet; no exceptions.

4/12/12 State Of Our Campuses Forum
Location: ESF Campus: – Marshall Auditorium
Description: (lodging is provided!): Green Campus Initiative is hosting their annual “State Of Our Campuses Forum”, where relatively close/local colleges from around Syracuse and surrounding areas are coming to discuss ways they’ve took different initiatives towards sustainability and the environment. There will be food, lectures, Q&A, and more. Currently, its location is in Marshall but that could be subject to change and the time is being discussed. I will post more information in April!
